An integral part of the Pastoral Care Program in the Secondary School are the Learning Curve resources in the student planner. Students and their Mentor’s meet each week to prepare our young people for a lifetime of learning and thinking.

Living - cultivating social emotional growth involving, Self Awareness, Self Control, Self Motivation, Empathy and Managing Relationships.
Learning - teaching how to learn how to learn and building an array of learning approaches, study skills and arousing curiosity and a love of learning.
Thinking - teaching how to think creatively and critically through Habits of Mind and using higher order thinking strategies and tools.

The main objectives in the Pastoral Care Program are:

• Teaching young people to learn how to learn in their best ways and how to think creatively and critically
• Developing their lifelong learning habits and dispositions to be curious
• Teaching them to know what to do when they don’t know what to do
