Anzac Day 2020
Today our community joined together in sharing a virtual ANZAC Service.
Through the technology available to us, we were fortunate to have almost 80 students from Year 3-12 and five staff members directly contributing by sending artwork, recording poetry, prayers, music and our reflection. We are so grateful particularly to Mr Stuart Collidge who provided a recording of the Last Post, Rouse and the Australian National Anthem as well as Mr Anthony Brown who movingly described the experiences of his grandfather.
Although we are apart, it was special to be able to still acknowledge this significant event. Year 3-6 families can access the service through their child’s Google Classroom page and Senior School families can access it through their child’s House Google Classroom page.
We particularly want to acknowledge the fact that there are families in our own school community who have direct connections to Australia’s armed forces and know that tomorrow is especially important for you.
We trust that you are able to acknowledge tomorrow as a family.
Lest we forget.
