Victorian Schools Super Series - Lawn Bowls

Today three very enthusiastic year 7 boys travelled to Deer Park to participate in the Victorian Schools Super Series hosted by Lawn Bowls Victoria.

The first game they completed against Balcombe Grammar school, after a slow start they took the win 9-4
The second game they came up against Waverley Christian College, in a very tight game they ended up winning 7-4
Round 3 was always going to be the toughest game yet, playing against National Champions Camberwell Grammar School, the boys dug deep, and definitely learnt a few lessons in how to play Lawn Bowls, they didn’t get the chocolates in this game but remained positive and showed great team spirit and sportsmanship!

Overall they came 5th which is such an amazing achievement, given this time 3 weeks ago the boys had never played the game!
Well done to Tom Rowe, Mitch Tumino and Sam Stevens. They are very much looking forward to next year!
