The Casey Grammar Library is part of a communal Learning Centre. It encourages students to engage with books and foster a life-long love of reading. Books open a child’s imagination to exciting adventures and help deepen their understanding of the world around them.
In the Learning Centre, they learn how to access a variety of library resources. Throughout the year, unique opportunities are provided for children to ignite their passion for Literature.
Visits to the school by well-known authors and illustrators inspire our students to reflect on their own storytelling skills and motivate them to explore new books and genres.
Our annual Book Fair and the excitement of Book Week are also important events that promote and celebrate the joy of reading.
The library is also a gathering place, which students enjoy at lunchtimes as well as before and after school. Students are able to complete work, access computers, create Lego masterpieces, play board games, engage in Art activities and of course, borrow and read a favourite book.
Our Learning Centre is a hub of activity, an inviting and engaging meeting place.
