The students of 3N recently enjoyed a woodwork lesson with Mr Peter Young. The students made their mums a wooden coaster for Mother’s Day. They learnt how to sand the timber and created patterns and grooves using various wood files. Finally, they finished off by writing into the timber using an engraver.
Towards the end of the lesson, the Year 9 Tech class arrived and assisted the Year 3 students with applying an oiled finish to their coasters.
The Year 3 students were very excited to give their mums their handmade gifts.
